GDM Employee Promotions
Paige Piltz, Claim Examiner II Effective April 30, 2008, Paige Piltz was promoted to Claim Examiner II. With this promotion, Paige will handle claims in Mississippi and Arizona in addition to her current job handling claims in New Mexico. Paige joined Grain Dealers' Policyholder Service Center in February 2000 with an AA degree in Psychology from Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, CA. Transferring to the Claim Department as a Claim Support Assistant in July 2002, Paige achieved the INS Certificate in General Insurance by 2005, when she started her AIC course work. Promoted to a Claim Representative II, Paige achieved both the AIC and AIS designations in 2007. Paige has represented both our department and company well by earning the National Association of Insurance Women's (International) Indiana Chapter's "Claim Professional of the Year - 2007" award. START!

A few Grain Dealers employees from the Greensboro, NC Office are participating in the 2008 START! Guilford Heart & Stroke Walk on May 31, 2008. Patsy Everett, Christine Stanislawscyk, Vada Long, Donna Finlen, Tony Finlen, Wanda Cumbie, Ann Jones, and Debbie Crowe will be walking in memory of all of their loved ones past and present who have either passed on due to heart disease/stroke or are survivors of heart disease. This walk will be the second year members of the Southeast Office have participated.

The walk will be held in Greensboro, NC at Country Park. If you would like to participate, the Grain Dealers team would love to have you walk beside them. SAVE THREE OR FIVE

Beginning April 1, 2008, Grain Dealers Mutual has opened up our EFT program to all insureds. Now your customer will have the option to "Save Three" or "Five" dollars in monthly billing fees by signing up for the monthly EFT draft. All North Carolina Insureds will save $3 and all other Insureds will save $5. An insured must have a valid e-mail address so we can notify them of any changes to their bill and remind them of payments to be withdrawn 10 days before the transaction is made.

A notice will be sent out in all policies to the insured explaining this new feature. The form to sign up is located on-line at www.graindealers.com, under "For Our Insureds," "Payment Options," and "EFT Processing" link. The insured simply prints the form, fills it out, and attaches a voided check. The form can then be e-mailed to gdmicpsc@graindealers.com, faxed to 1-800-828-4124, or mailed with their next payment. Insureds may also contact the Policyholder Service Center by phone at 1-800-486-4567 or e-mail to gdmicpsc@graindealers.com with questions or to request a form.

You will be receiving an update of your 1st Quarter progress in the mail, if you have not already. This update will show your 2007 ending written premium, your 1st Quarter 2008 written premium, and the amount you need to achieve each trip level.

Many of you are getting close to hitting the first tier prize. If you need assistance meeting your goal, feel free to ask your Field Rep or Underwriter for ways we can help you write more.
